Second Making finding on the appealed substantial abatement ordered for 595 PARK STREET in Council File RLH RR 21-72. (Amend to grant 180 days)

WHEREAS, the City Council adopted RLH 21-72 on December 22, 2021 which granted 180 days to repair the structure, correct all of the deficiencies listed in the Order to Abate Nuisance Building and the Code Compliance Report at 595 PARK STREET; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer reviewed this case on June 28, August 9,and September 14, 2022 to determine if the owner and/or responsible party abated the nuisance conditions and found these conditions were not abated but will grant an additional 180 days for the completion of the rehabilitation as the financing and adequate work plan were received and approved; therefore, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council forfeit $5,000 performance deposit however, conditions were/were not met in order to receive a recommendation for an additional grant of time to complete the rehabilitation or removal of this property; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council adopts the finding of the legislative hearing officer that the nuisance condition is not abated but will grant an additional 180 days to complete the nuisance abatement forthcoming.
