Making finding on the appealed nuisance abatement ordered for 694 SNELLING AVENUE NORTH in Council File RLH RR 18-27.

WHEREAS, the City Council adopted RLH RR 18-27 on July 25, 2018 which granted an extension to December 6, 2018 to abate the nuisance conditions at 694 Snelling Avenue North; and

 

WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer reviewed this case on December 11 and 18, 2018 to determine if the owner and/or responsible party abated the nuisance conditions and found these conditions were not abated;

 

WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that $5,000 performance deposit for 6 months and grants an additional 6 months for the issuance of the Certificate of Occupancy, if a work plan, bids and financing sufficient to complete the rehabilitation are approved the performance deposit is forfeited by $1,000 unless plans and financing are forthcoming and approved by close of business in January 9, 2019

 

WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council continue the $5,000 performance deposit and grant an additional 180 days to complete the rehabilitation and receive a Certificate of Occupancy, as an updated workplan and financial information has been provided and approved; now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council finds the nuisance condition has not been abated, but grants an additional 180 days to complete the rehabilitation and receive a Certificate of Occupancy and adopts the recommendation of the Legislative Hearing Officer.
