Making finding on the appealed nuisance abatement ordered for 1122 JACKSON STREET in Council File RLH SAO 18-47.

WHEREAS, the City Council adopted RLH SAO 18-47 on August 15, 2018 which granted an extension to December 1, 2018 to abate the nuisance conditions for removal of the temporary structures at 1122 Jackson Street; and

 

WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer reviewed this case on December 4, 2018 and June 4, 2019 to determine if the owner and/or responsible party abated the nuisance conditions and found these conditions [were / were not] abated; and

 

WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer finds there have been improvements in the City's temporary and accessory structure policies and practices since the order to remove these structures was originally issued in June of 2018; now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council adopts the finding of the legislative hearing officer that the nuisance condition is  [abated and the matter resolved / not abated and therefore authorizes directs the Department of Safety and Inspections to proceed with this nuisance abatement] reissue a Summary Abatement Order to address the removal of the temporary and accessory structures which provides a greater level of specificity on the nature of the violations.
