Purpose of Appeal: Tenant did not let us in the property because of COVID-19. He knew we couldn't evict him or ask him for the home. He took advantage of the current pandemic and did as he pleased with the property. We just want an opportunity to get the home up to code. We started on the current orders today as well.

WHEREAS, in the matter of the Appeal of Jonathan Lopez, Herrod LLC, to a Notice of Condemnation-Unfit for Human Habitation-Order for Immediate Vacate at 2272 SEVENTH STREET WEST, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council deny the appeal on the condemnation and order to vacate; deny the appeal to be released from the Vacant Building program as a Category 2; and, grant a 90 day extension on the vacant building fee to February 19, 2021; Now, Therefore, Be It
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
