Making finding on the appealed substantial abatement ordered for 975 HUDSON ROAD in Council File RLH RR 22-18.

WHEREAS, the City Council adopted RLH RR 22-18 on April 6, 2022 which granted 180 days to repair the structure, correct all of the deficiencies listed in the Order to Abate Nuisance Building and the Code Compliance Report at 975 Hudson Road; and

 

WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer reviewed this case on October 11, October 25 and November 1, 2022 to determine if the owner and/or responsible party abated the nuisance conditions and found these conditions were forthcoming determined to be 60% abated, per the Senior Building Inspector; and

 

WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing officer required the owner to provide an updated financial statement showing sufficient funds to complete the project and an updated schedule for completing the projects, including bids if contractors are different than those when the project started; and

 

WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer finds that these conditions have been met and therefore recommends that the City Council continues the existing $5,000 performance deposit and grants an additional 180 days for the completion of the project; now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council adopts the findings and recommendation of the legislative hearing officer that the nuisance condition is forthcoming.
