Making finding on the appealed nuisance abatement ordered for 1372 VICTORIA STREET NORTH  in Council File RLH SAO 21-55.

 

Body

WHEREAS, the City Council adopted RLH SAO 21-55 on July 28, 2021 which granted an extension to August 1, 2021 for orders related to tree removal and fence removal/repair and grant to August 6, 2021 for orders related to raccoon infestation to abate the nuisance conditions at 1372 Victoria Street North; and

 

WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer reviewed this case on August 10, 2021 to determine if the owner and/or responsible party abated the nuisance conditions and found that 1) the dangerous tree had not been removed; 2) the failing fence sections had not been removed or repaired; and 3) the owner's representative indicated the raccoon abatement and eave/soffit repair was complete, but the Legislative Hearing Officer is awaiting documentation of this by way of a receipt for completion from the extermination contractor; now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council adopts the finding of the legislative hearing officer that the nuisance condition is not abated and therefore authorizes the Department of Safety and Inspections to proceed with this nuisance abatement.
