Making finding on the appealed substantial abatement ordered for 985 WOODBRIDGE STREET in Council File RLH RR 19-34.

WHEREAS, the City Council adopted RLH RR 19-34 on February 26, 2020 which granted 180 days to repair the structure, correct all of the deficiencies listed in the Order to Abate Nuisance Building and the Code Compliance Report at 985 Woodbridge Street; and

 

WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer reviewed this case on August 25, 2020 to determine if the owner and/or responsible party abated the nuisance conditions and found these conditions were not abated;

 

WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that an additional 180 days be granted to complete the rehabilitation of the structure if the following conditions are met by close of business September 4, 2020: 1) an updated workplan reflecting current deadlines and contractors; 2) updated proof of financing which demonstrates there are sufficient funds to complete the project; and 3) the property must be maintained; and

 

WHEREAS, an updated workplan and financial have been provided an approved; now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council adopts the finding of the legislative hearing officer that the nuisance condition is abated/not abated and the Council grant an additional 180-day extension to complete the rehabilitation or removal of this structure. and therefore authorizes the Department of Safety and Inspections to proceed with this substantial abatement].
