Stated Reason for Appeal (if given): Resident states she doesn’t believe she should owe this amount. She took ownership mid-December 2019. She states she then did not receive service for weeks because of problems setting up service with the hauler
Staff Comments: The original invoice for Quarter 4 2019 was for $228.16 (Service for a 64-gallon and a 95-gallon with late fees). Hauler confirmed that the previous owner made a payment of $215.16. The $13.15 that was assessed was the amount unpaid by the previous owner. Since the current owner is responsible for paying all assessments, staff recommends approving the assessment.

WHEREAS, the Office of Financial Services Real Estate Section has attached to this Council File both a report of completion outlining the costs and fees associated with Collection of Delinquent Garbage Bills for services during October to December 2019. (File No. CG2001C3, Assessment No. 200110) and the assessment roll including all properties for which these assessments are proposed for Council ratification; and

WHEREAS, the City Council’s Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed an appeal of this assessment and developed a recommendation for the City Council with respect to this assessment; and
