Purpose of Appeal: Ref #13110 Item #15 on our Fire Inspection Correction notice list - Unit 2 kitchen sink has atmospheric venting under sink. This vent has been in place for over 19 years. We have had numerous Fire Inspections in that time period and have never been sighted for this prior. This is a 100 year old building and we have looked into changing the vent over to code and it is very cost prohibitive. We can provide photos and estimates if needed.

WHEREAS, in the matter of Appeal of Michelle & Joel Lemanski to a Fire Inspection Correction Notice at 1279 RANDOLPH AVENUE, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council deny the appeal but grant an extension to May 1, 2020 for compliance of sink venting orders; Now, Therefore, Be It
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
