Appeal of Alan Tschida (Selby-Dale, LLC) to a Vacant Building Registration Notice at 156 DALE STREET NORTH.

Purpose of Appeal:  Building rennovation was delayed a full year by HPC.  Building has had $100,000 roof installed, work halted by HPC.  Rennovations underway.

Legislative Hearing Staff Comments:  Alan Tschida was scheduled for Aug. 6th because he could not make any earlier dates.  Legislative Hearing Officer Marcia Moermond approved but no further re-schedules are allowed. 

Fire inspection staff, building was revoked sinced 2015, but I don't see an order issued back in 2015 and now the revocation is just being ordered in June 2019.  Need staff report at the hearing.  MV

WHEREAS, in the matter of Appeal of Alan Tschida (Selby-Dale, LLC) to a Vacant Building Registration Notice at 156 DALE STREET NORTH, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and

 

WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council grant the appeal, noting that vacant building staff will re-evaluate orders after February 4, 2020; Now, Therefore, Be It

 

RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
