WHEREAS, the City Council adopted RLH SAO 17-56 on July 19, 2017 which granted an extension to August 1, 2017 to abate the nuisance conditions at 25 Elizabeth Street East; and

WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer reviewed this case on August 1, 2017, September 5, September 26, October 10, November 14, December 5 and December 19, 2017, as well as February 6 and February 13, 2018 to determine if the owner and/or responsible party abated the nuisance conditions and found the conditions are forthcoming not abated and recommended the owner be given until February 6, 2018 to complete the work;

WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer conducted a hearing on February 13, 2018 and recommends that the City Council grant until April 11, 2018 for compliance;

WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer reviewed the building permit record on May 23, 2018 and found the permitted work had been completed to the satisfaction of the Department of Safety and Inspections; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council adopts the finding of the legislative hearing officer that the nuisance condition is not abated and therefore authorizes the Department of Safety and Inspections to abate the nuisance condition if the above condition for an extension is not met. considers the matter resolved.
