Legislative Hearing Staff Comments: Lisa Martin feels that this appeal should be heard on August 23, so staff changed the date of the hearing. Staff talked to Thuy (owner Dianne's daughter, 612-545-8708) who said that the family is throwing things away. Their mission is to clear out the house. She is happy that the City got involved. She plans to attend the Legislative Hearing on August 23. Staff also reached Winston Nguyen about the change. This property will be represented by Heather Meyers, SMRLS, and she plans to attend on August 23.

WHEREAS, in the matter of the Appeal of Winston Nguyen, representing Dianna Dong Thi Bui, to a Notice of Condemnation as Unfit for Human Habitation and Order to Vacate at 850 UNIVERSITY AVENUE WEST, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council grant until Friday, September 2, 2016 to reduce the volume of excessive accumulation by half and if progress are made, this matter will be referred back into Legislative Hearing on September 13, 2016 for review of a plan to bring the property into compliance; Now, Therefore, Be It
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
