In the matter improving Charles Avenue between Aldine Street and Park Street by providing a major east/west corridor for non-motorized users that compliments other transportation modes. Improvements include signing, striping, traffic circles and median refuges that focus on the roadway shifts so non-motorized users are more mainstream.
Under Preliminary Order RES 12-1386 approved 08/08/2012
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Saint Paul has conducted a public hearing upon the above improvement, due notice thereof having been given as prescribed by the City Charter; and
WHEREAS, the Council has heard all persons, objections and recommendations pertaining to said proposed improvement and has fully considered the same; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul does hereby order improvements for the project described in RES PH 12-1386 be made as provided in the amended Charles Avenue Project SUMMARY OF ENGINEERING RECOMMENDATIONS dated 8-22-12, and the improvements be completed by December 31, 2015, and the proper City officers are hereby directed and authorized to proceed with the improvement; and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that upon the completion of said improvement, the proper City officers shall calculate all expenses incurred therein and shall report the same to the City Council in accordance with Chapter 14 of the City Charter.
