Purpose of Appeal: I was told I'd be given time to fix furnace and electrical. Also, the tenant has moved out so the property is now owner-occupied. I plan to fix the furnace and electrical once I move back in this week.

Legislative Hearing Staff Comments: Correction Notice indicated that the reinspection is today (March 10) at 2:30 p.m. which was about 2 hours after the appellant filed this appeal. Appellant said that he would not be at the reinspection because he is a teacher and does not have anyone to replace him.

WHEREAS, in the matter of the Appeal of James Cannon to a Correction Notic-Complaint Inspection (which includes condemnation of Unit 1) at 752 CARROLL AVENUE, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council deny the appeal and property cannot be occupied and condemnation lifted until heat is fixed under permit and electricity is fixed showing DSI staff a signed bid and receipt or invoice demonstrating completion of the project; Now, Therefore, Be It
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
