Purpose of Appeal
#4 - Escape window on the sleeping room has been short a few inches to meet city code.
This is an old house and it is difficult to modify to meet code. I am asking the hearing officer to grant me a variance for the windows on this property address.

WHEREAS, in the matter of the Appeal of Chao Yang to a Fire Certificate of Occupancy Inspection Correction Notice at 1075 CASE AVENUE, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council deny the appeal and grant an extension for three months to bring the awning window in the middle bedroom into compliance. She recommended granting a 4-inch variance on the openable width of the egress window in the north bedroom; Now, therefore, Be It
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
