Purpose of Appeal: Thank you for the hearing. It would be extremely helpful to have more time to complete the required repairs before paying the fee. These repairs are being completed as quickly as possible, and multiple issues have prevented their completion, which I look forward to explaining in more detail.

WHEREAS, in the matter of the Appeal of Noah Chappell to a Vacant Building Registration Requirement at 922 Woodbridge Street, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council waive vacant building fee for 90 days until August 26, 2022 to have Fire Certificate of Occupancy reinstated and allow permits to be pulled, noting failure to get Certificate reinstated will result in the requirement that the building become a Category 2 Registered Vacant Building and need a Certificate of Code Compliance prior to reoccupation; Now, Therefore, Be It
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
