WHEREAS, in the matter of the Appeal of Barry W. Kostyk to a Fire Inspection Correction Notice at 351 Hope Street, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council grant the appeal pertaining to providing a 1-hour fire separation between the basement and first floor conditioned upon the hard-wired smoke alarm system being maintained, the continued presence of current smoke blocking barriers, such doors and ceiling construction and there being no combustible storage in basement areas which do not have 1-hour fire separation; Now, Therefore, Be It
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
