Appeal of Don Maietta to a Vacant Building Registration Renewal Notice at 141 WINIFRED STREET WEST.

 

Date/Time of 1st LH:  June 8, 2021 at 2:30 p.m.

Purpose of Appeal:  We recently acquired this home and had all the debris and personal property removed.  We intended to renovate, and did indeed clean the residence and garage out.  We decided to sell to someone better equipped to get it done sooner.  We were not aware of the vacant building renewal until closing last week and are asking the city to remove this fee.  The home is secured and will be renovated soon.  Thank you for your consideration for this request.

WHEREAS, in the matter of Appeal of Don Maietta to a Vacant Building Registration Renewal Notice at 141 WINIFRED STREET WEST, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and

 

WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council deny the appeal but grant a 90 day waiver to September 18, 2021 of vacant building fee; Now, Therefore, Be It

 

RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
