Purpose of Appeal: We have been working to fix the Deficiency List, and still not done yet. We are spending more time in fixing a total of 50 windows in the building. We are asking for extended time to complete this work. It has been slow because people live in those apartments and COVID-19 makes it slower. We thank you in advance.

WHEREAS, in the matter of the Appeal of Rico Duran, Latino Economic Development Center, to a Reinspection Fire Certificate of Occupancy With Deficiencies (which includes condemnation) at 857 PAYNE AVENUE and 859 PAYNE AVENUE, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council grant to March 15, 2021 for compliance (items 29, 37, and 52 withdrawn by the Department of Safety & Inspections); Now, Therefore, Be It
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
