Amending Council File RLH TA 20-453 to delete the assessment for Collection of Delinquent Garbage Bills for services during October to December 2019 at 309 AURORA AVENUE. (File No. CG2001E4, Assessment No. 200119)

WHEREAS on July 22, 2020, the City Council of the City of Saint Paul adopted Council File No. RLH TA 20-453, said Resolution being the Ratification of Assessment for Collection of Delinquent Garbage Bills for services during October to December 2019. (File No. CG2001E3, Assessment No. 200118); and
WHEREAS, the property at 309 Aurora Avenue, being described as: Elfelt, Bernheimer & Arnolds Addition to St. Paul Lot 19 Blk 3, with the property identification number 36-29-23-42-0042 was to delete the assessment and the amount of $197.93 already paid to the City shall be refunded; and
WHEREAS, owner contacted the Legislative Hearing Office and stated indicated it was not clear why the owner appeared to still owe $62.66; and
WHEREAS, after contacting the Assessment Office, staff learned that the owner paid on March 11, 2020 an amount of $196 leaving a remaining balance of $62.66 which was paid on July 21, 2020; therefore, the amount of $258.66 should be deleted from the assessment roll and refunded; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends the deletion of this assessment and refund of the overpayment; Now, Therefore, Be It
RESOLVED, that the reduction of $258.66, plus any accrued interests, be deleted. Council File No. RLH TA 20-453 is hereby amended to reflect this change, as well as the File No. CG2001E3, Assessment No. 200118 be amended to CG2001E4, Assessment No. 200119.
