Authorizing the Department of Emergency Management to execute a grant contract amendment for a timeline extension with the State of Minnesota for the 2016 Pre-Disaster Mitigation grant.
Body
WHEREAS, the Department of Emergency Management received a grant of $73,218.75 from the State of Minnesota for the 2016 Pre-Disaster Mitigation grant to develop and write the required Hazard Mitigation plan, and
WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota is offering to extend the 2016 Pre-Disaster Mitigation grant to give the Department of Emergency Management additional time to complete the Hazard Mitigation plan, and
WHEREAS, the original grant agreement was approved on Council Resolution PH 17-123, and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the proper City officials are hereby authorized and directed to execute a grant contract amendment for a timeline extension with the State of Minnesota as provided by the Department of Emergency Management.
