Authoring the acceptance of $90,754 from the Friends acting as fiscal agent for a Library Services Technology Act Grants; and amending the 2019 financing and spending plans in the Library Agency.
Body
WHEREAS, the Friends of the Saint Paul Public Library applied for a grant on behalf of the Saint Paul Public Library Agency and was awarded a Library Services Technology Act Grant in the mount of $90,754; and
WHEREAS, the grant will fund the costs of staff time for cultural liaisons; and
WHEREAS, the grant will provide opportunities for local communities to identify barriers to access and develop innovative responses that improve access to library services, programs, and/or materials; and
WHEREAS, the Friends will be the fiscal agent for the grant and will disburse the money to the SPPLA; and
WHEREAS, the financing and spending plans for these monies has not been established; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor pursuant to Section 10.7.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriations funds of $90,754 in excess of those estimated in the 2019 budget and recommends the changes to the 2019 budget described in the attached fiscal analysis;
RESOLVED, that the Library Board approves the changes to the 2019 Budget, and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that said budget, as heretofore adopted by the Library Board is hereby amended as indicated in the attached fiscal analysis form.
