Authorizing the Police Department to accept complimentary travel and conference expenses for the IACP 2019 award recipient Commander Jeremy Ellison.

WHEREAS, the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) has awarded the 2019 IACP Excellence in Traffic Safety Award to Commander Jeremy Ellison of the Saint Paul Police Department; and
WHEREAS, Commander Jeremy Ellison will be recognized during the IACP’s Annual Conference and Exposition closing banquet for which they have provided complimentary travel expenses to the conference along with registration, hotel and meal expense with an estimated value of $2,000; and
WHEREAS, the Department would like to congratulate Commander Ellison for being chosen among many excellent leaders in the country; and
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the council approves the complimentary travel and conference expense from the IACP.
