Stated Reason for Appeal (if given): Joan reported that she spoke with an RS manager on 01/19 to discuss the billing on her property. Joan stated that she told the manager she is going to pay on a monthly basis and the manager stated that she has been paying before the 25th of each month so the late fees are going to be waived. Joan reported that she has been paying the bill in this manner since 01/19 and that the late fees have been waived .

Staff Comments: According to information provided by Republic Services, the property owner does not appear to be in any arrangement for partial payment. The property owner is responsible for paying this outstanding charge.

WHEREAS, the Office of Financial Services Real Estate Section has attached to this Council File both a report of completion outlining the costs and fees associated with Collection of Delinquent Garbage Bills for services during January to March 2019. (File No. CG1902C1, Assessment No. 190109) and the assessment roll including all properties for which these assessments are proposed for Council ratification; and

WHEREAS, the City Council’s Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed an appeal of this assessment and developed a recommendation for the City Council with respect to this assessment; and

WHEREAS, a public hearing having been conducted for the above improvement, and said assessment having been further considered by the Council and having been considered financially satisfactory; Now, Therefor...
