Appeal of Cha Sur Vang to a Revocation of Fire Certificate of Occupancy and Order to Vacate at 291 FILLMORE AVENUE EAST.

Purpose of Appeal: Cha Sur Vang hereby appeals the Notice and Order dated May 21, 2019 regarding the property located at 291 Fillmore in St. Paul. The first deficiency identified in the Notice and Order - a leaking roof - has been repaired. In the event that additional work needs to be completed, Appellant intends to complete that work promptly. The second deficiency identified in the Notice and Order was cured on the date of inspection. The Notice and Order, and all of the inspections that occurred prior, have placed a substantial burden on my ability to operate the business.

WHEREAS, in the matter of Appeal of Cha Sur Vang to a Revocation of Fire Certificate of Occupancy and Order to Vacate at 291 FILLMORE AVENUE EAST, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council grant the appeal on the revocation and order to vacate and grant an extension for 12 months to bring roof order into compliance provided there are inspections occuring every 90 days to assure structural stability; Now, Therefore, Be It
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
