Stated Reason for Appeal (if given): The original bill was not sent to me or my wife, it was sent to the previous owner, and when we tried to fix it, Republic said it was actually on YOU to update public works with the correct information.

Staff Comments: Garbage haulers have turned over to the City all delinquent charges for Quarter 4 2018. Property owners can contact the hauler directly to discuss late fees. If the hauler determines that the late fee was charged in error, they will credit that amount to the account. Even if a credit is received for the late fee, all delinquent charges need to be paid to the City.

WHEREAS, the Office of Financial Services Real Estate Section has attached to this Council File both a report of completion outlining the costs and fees associated with Collection of Delinquent Garbage Bills for services during October to December 2018. (File No. CG1901C4, Assessment No. 190063) and the assessment roll including all properties for which these assessments are proposed for Council ratification; and

WHEREAS, the City Council’s Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed an appeal of this assessment and developed a recommendation for the City Council with respect to this assessment; and
