Legislative Hearing Staff Comments: I scheduled Dolores for April 16 (instead of April 9th) because of a recent death in the family. -JP
I called Steve Ubl and asked if he could have someone take a look at the building to see if emergency action needs to be taken and under what circumstances an extension would work. One thought was if they stabilize the walls with diagonal bracing, 90 days may work. He will have someone look at the building April 5. -MM

WHEREAS, in the matter of Appeal of Dolores Jacobson to a Summary Abatement Order at 1621 ARCADE STREET, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant;
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council 1) grant an extension of 90 days for the removal or repair of the garage, if within the next 7 days the garage is stabilized under permit to prevent it from collapsing, or in the alternative 2) grant to April 26 May 2, 2019 for the removal of the garage; Now, Therefore, Be It
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
