Authorizing the City of Saint Paul to enter into a lease renewal with Griggs Midway Building Corporation for the Police Department’s Employee Assistance Program.

WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul (“City”) wishes to enter into a lease renewal (Exhibit “A”) with Griggs Midway Corporation (“Landlord”) for the Police Department’s Employee Assistance Program commencing retroactively January 1, 2019 and ending December 31, 2020; and
WHEREAS, the Real Estate Section of the Office of Financial Services has determined that the agreed upon rent represents the fair market value of the leased premises; and
WHEREAS, all other terms and conditions of that certain lease dated August 1, 2015 between the City and Landlord, Real Estate lease file number PD/4, remain in full force and effect, including a provision for the City’s indemnification of Landlord against claims related to the City’s use of the leased premises; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, that the proper City officials are hereby authorized and directed to execute said two-year lease renewal in a form and content substantially as set forth in the attached Exhibit “A.”
