Title

Accepting travel and lodging costs for Saint Paul Heritage Preservation Commissioners Barb Bezat and Richard Dana to attend the 38th Annual Statewide Preserve Minnesota Conference to be held on September 12-14, 2018 in Winona to satisfy the City of Saint Paul’s contractual obligation set forth in the Certified Local Government (CLG) agreement with the State of Minnesota.

 

Body

WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul is a Certified Local Government and is required to provide annual training for Commissioners as stated in the Certified Local Government contract; and

 

WHEREAS, Saint Paul Heritage Preservation Commissioners Barb Bezat and Richard Dana will attend the conference in Winona, Minnesota, on September 12 to 14, 2018; and

 

WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota Historic Preservation Office, funded by the U.S. Department of the Interior’s Historic Preservation Fund (HPF), will reimburse the cost of registration, travel and lodging expenses not to exceed $900; now

 

THEREFORE, be it resolved, that the City Council authorizes the Department of Planning and Economic Development to accept this funding for registration, travel and boarding; and be it

 

FINALLY RESOLVED, that the City Council determines this to have public purpose and the Council extends its thanks and appreciation to State of Minnesota Historic Preservation Office and the U.S. Department of the Interior’s Historic Preservation Fund for its educational opportunities it has provided for City Commissioners.
