Approving adverse action against the Liquor Outdoor Service Area (Patio) license application submitted by Monkon Sushi Corp. d/b/a Monkon Sushi for the premises located at 394 University Avenue West.

WHEREAS, the Liquor Outdoor Service Area (Patio) license application submitted by Monkon Sushi Corp. d/b/a Monkon Sushi (License ID# 20170004042) for the premises located at 394 University Avenue West in Saint Paul was the subject of a Notice of Intent to Deny License dated August 20, 2018, and
WHEREAS, the Notice stated the licensee failed to submit the required petition with signatures of support from property owners and resident within three-hundred (300) feet of the establishment in order to continue the application process; and
WHEREAS, the licensee did not respond to the Notice of Intent to Deny License to submit the required petition signatures, request a public hearing or withdraw the license application; and
WHEREAS, the Notice of Intent to Deny License stated that if the licensee failed to submit the required petition signatures, request a public hearing or withdraw the license application by August 30, 2018 that the matter would be placed on the September 12, 2018 consent agenda to impose the recommended penalty; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, the Liquor Outdoor Service Area (Patio) license application submitted by Monkon Sushi Corp. d/b/a Monkon Sushi (License ID# 20170004042) for the premises located at 394 University Avenue West inn Saint Paul is hereby denied.
