Appeal of Douglas Grimm, Real Estate Broker, to a Vacant Building Registration Fee Warning Letter at 1779 MONTREAL AVENUE.

Purpose of Appeal: Richard and Judith Loomis are both deceased. The family does not have the desire or means to deal with the property. We have a purchase agreement with them to purchase the property. We will be redeeming the property from foreclosure and the end of the foreclosure redemption period which ends 10/18/17. We intend to request code compliance inspections, then remodel the property and bring it up to code and sell to a new family or individual.

WHEREAS, in the matter of the Appeal of Douglas Grimm, Real Estate Broker, to a Vacant Building Registration Fee Warning Letter at 1779 MONTREAL AVENUE, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and

 

WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council grant a 90-day waiver of the vacant building fee; Now, Therefore, Be It

 

RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
