Title

Modifying Residential Permit Parking Area 18 for the Cleveland Avenue Bicycle Project.

Body

WHEREAS, Public Works has done an additional parking study involving the community and is now moving forward with the Cleveland Avenue Bicycle Project; and 

WHEREAS, parking on the west side of Cleveland Avenue must be removed in order to install bicycle lanes and Residential Permit Parking Area 18 will be modified to create some short term parking for an adjacent affected businesses at 128 Cleveland Avenue as a result; and

WHEREAS, Resolution 86-1124 established “No Parking 8 am-8 pm Monday through Friday, Except by Permit” on both sides of Laurel from Cleveland Avenue to Prior Street and both sides of Wilder from Summit to Dayton; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, that Area 18 street regulation on both sides of Laurel from Cleveland to 85’ east Wilder and both sides of Wilder from Ashland to Selby be revised from  “No Parking 8 am-8 pm Monday through Friday, Except by Permit”  to “2 1 hour Parking 8am to 8 pm, Monday through Friday, Except by Permit” per the attached map; and be it further

RESOLVED, that these parking regulations shall be coordinated with project completion and in effect and enforced 30 days after City Council approval or as soon as signs are erected, weather permitting.
