Authorizing Police Department to accept a grant in the amount of $10,000 from the Target Corporation for forensic video equipment enhancement.
Body
WHEREAS, the Police Department was awarded a grant in the amount of $10,000 from Target Corporation; and
WHEREAS, the grant funds will fund the upgrade the forensic video equipment and improve the department’s capabilities; and
WHEREAS, the 2015 financing and spending plan needs to be amended for these funds; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation funds of $10,000 in excess of those estimated in the 2015 budget; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor recommends that the following addition be made to the 2015 budget; and
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that council accepts this grant and authorizes Chief Thomas Smith to implement the plan as outlined in the attached application; and
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council approves these changes to the 2015 budget.
