Accepting the gift of The Hub: Spider Tree Memorial in Langford Park from the Saint Anthony Park Community Foundation, and authorizing the Department of Parks and Recreation to enter into a maintenance agreement with the Saint Anthony Park Community Foundation.

WHEREAS, the Saint Anthony Park Community Foundation wishes to donate all materials and labor to install The Hub: Spider Tree Memorial; a community gathering place and informal play structure free of charge to the City, in Langford Park; and
WHEREAS, the Saint Anthony Park Community Foundation also agrees to provide operating funds when maintenance and repairs are necessary; and
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, Department of Parks and Recreation staff supports the installation of The Hub: Spider Tree Memorial in Langford Park, located at 30 Langford Park; and
WHEREAS, the Saint Anthony Park Community Foundation and the Department of Parks and Recreation concur with the establishment of a maintenance agreement that details each party's future responsibilities that arise from use of The Hub: Spider Tree Memorial; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul wishes to thank the Saint Anthony Park Community Foundation and hereby accepts their generous gift and installation of the Spider Tree Memorial; and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul hereby authorizes the proper City officials to enter into an agreement with the Saint Anthony Park Community Foundation detailing responsibility for maintenance of The Hub: Spider Tree Memorial in Langford Park.
