Authorizing the Fire Department to enter into an agreement with HealthPartners to allow paramedic billing company Trans-Medic access to the patient billing information at Regions Hospital through their patient care reporting system.

RESOLVED, that the proper City officials are hereby authorized and directed to execute the agreement between the Saint Paul Fire Department, Healthpartners, and Trans-Medic to allow Trans-Medic access to patient billing information at Regions Hospital following the federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations provided by the Saint Paul Fire Department; a copy of said agreement which includes an indemnification clause, is to be kept on file and of record in the Office of Financial Services.
