Title
Approving the re-conveyance of a tax forfeit parcel to the State of Minnesota, and purchase by the Department of Public Works, for parcel adjacent to 630 Pierce Butler Route.
Body
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, by Ramsey County Recorder's Office document No.2844884, dated December 14, 1994 & State Deed No.0181119, acquired a Conveyance of Forfeited Lands Use Deed for a parcel of land adjacent to 630 Pierce Butler Route, PIN:  26-29-23-44-0033, as described in Exhibit A attached hereto (the "Use Deed Parcel"); and
WHEREAS, said Use Deed Parcel was acquired by the Department of Public Works exclusively for bridge purposes for the Dale Street Bridge; and
 
WHEREAS, the City wishes to reconvey said Use Deed Parcel under Minnesota Statutes, Section 282.01, Subdivision 1d, to the State of Minnesota, to be held in trust according to Minnesota Statutes, Section 281.25, so that the Use Deed Parcel may be purchased by the Department of Public Works for the Pierce Butler Route Extension; and
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, acting through its Real Estate Manager, has secured an agreement for the purchase of said Use Deed Parcel; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works requests that the proper City officials purchase the Use Deed Parcel from the State of Minnesota via the Ramsey County Tax Forfeited Lands Division for the stated purpose of assembling land for Pierce Butler Route Extension, the value of said property being $39,600.00, plus filing fees of $1,998.64 and $77.70 in re-conveyance costs; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the City Council hereby authorizes the proper City officials to proceed with the re-conveyance and acquisition of said Use Deed Parcel for a purchase price and associated costs stated above of Forty One Thousand Seventy-Six and 34/100 Dollars ($41,076.34), payable to Ramsey County; and be it further
RESOLVED, that the Mayor and Council of the City of Saint Paul do hereby authorize the proper City officials to execute an application of re-conveyance, attached hereto as Exhibit B, for said Use Deed Parcel to the State of Minnesota, and to pay all related re-conveyance and purchase costs, said sum to be charged to Activity Code CPL C11 2G017 0789 00000 .
