Adding 1455 Fulham Street to Residential Permit Parking Area 2.

WHEREAS, residential permit parking was previously instituted on behalf of the residents in the University of Minnesota, St. Paul Campus, area in accordance with the Saint Paul Legislative Code with the following regulation, No Parking 8AM-8PM Except by Permit Area 2; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Saint Paul previously found that this residential area did not have sufficient off-street parking to accommodate the parking needs of both the residents and the non-residents using non-residential facilities which lack sufficient off-street parking; and
WHEREAS, the abutting property owner has submitted a valid petition to add 1455 Fulham Street and east side of Fulham Street between 210'-380' south of Hendon Avenue to residential permit parking; and
WHEREAS, Public Works staff has investigated the basis for the petition to expand Area 2, concluded and recommended adoption of the requested changes; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the address 1455 Fulham Street, parking permits limited to 1 permit per unit plus 1 for the owner for a total of 11 permits, and east side of Fulham Street between 210'-380' south of Hendon Avenue shall be added to the existing Residential Permit Parking Area 2 which has the following parking regulations near the University of Minnesota, St. Paul Campus:
Except by Permit or Unless Otherwise Posted, No Parking, 8:00AM - 8:00PM, Area 2; and be it finally
RESOLVED, that no signs will be installed and that owners and residents can purchase permits after City Council approval these parking regulations shall be in effect and enforced 30 days after City Council approval or as soon as signs are erected, weather permitting.
