Authorizing and approving subcontracting of work under the St. Paul Smart Trips Agreement.
Body
WHEREAS, by RES PH 11-1045 ("Resolution") the Saint Paul City Council approved a $115,000 budget amendment so that the City of Saint Paul ("City") may act as the fiscal agent pass-through for the St. Paul Smart Trips Neighborhoods 2011 project ("Project"); and
WHEREAS, by an agreement dated August 22, 2011 ("Agreement") the City contracted with St. Paul Smart Trips, a Minnesota not-for-profit corporation ("Smart Trips") to complete the Project; and
WHEREAS, Smart Trips desires to subcontract a portion of the work under the Agreement described as the development, implementation and evaluation of the Project ("Subcontracting Work") with the Kitty Anderson Youth Science Center at the Science Museum of Minnesota ("Science Museum") and Section 4 C of the Agreement requires the City's consent to this Subcontracting Work; and
WHEREAS, the City finds it to be in the public interest to consent to the Subcontracting Work.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Saint Paul City Council as follows:
1. That the City hereby authorizes, approves and consents to the Subcontracting Work with the Science Museum under the Agreement.
2. The City's PED Director and staff are directed and authorized to take all action necessary to implement this Resolution.
