Title

Amending Council File RLH AR 21-24, adopted April 14, 2021, to ratify the assessment at 298 JENKS AVENUE. (File No. VB2106, Assessment No. 218805)

 

Body

WHEREAS, on April 14, 2021, the City Council of the City of Saint Paul adopted Council File RLH AR 21-24, said Resolutions being the memorialization of appeal for Collection of Vacant Building Registration fees billed during July 16 to October 19, 2020 at 298 Jenks Avenue. (File No. VB2106, Assessment No. 218805); and

 

WHEREAS, the property at 298 Jenks Avenue, being described as: Brookside Lot 10 Blk 1, with the property identification number 30-29-22-14-0060 was assessed an amount of $2,284; and

 

WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing recommended that the City Council ratified and payable in one installment; and

 

WHEREAS, the previous owner called and stated that current owner presented him this invoice and file was closed back in December of 2020; and

 

WHEREAS, staff confirmed that file was closed on December 29, 2020 and should not have gone to assessment.  Also, the vacant building was in the program for 2 out of the 12 billable months; therefore, recommended deletion of the assessment; and

 

WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer concurs with the recommendation; Now Therefore, Be It,

 

RESOLVED, that Council File No. RLH AR 21-24 is hereby amended to reflect this change.
