Appeal of Tim Maple to a Fire Certificate of Occupancy Correction Notice at 571 COMO AVENUE.

Purpose of Appeal: I am appealing the time given to complete the corrections list. Due to the nature of the corrections and the associated cost of the corrections I am asking for a year to complte them.

WHEREAS, in the matter of the Appeal of Tim Maple to a Fire Certificate of Occupancy Correction Notice at 571 COMO AVENUE, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council ) grant an extension to December 31, 2017 for all appealed items conditioned on third floor bathroom not being used until proper plumbing/venting issue is addressed and if it's not properly vented, plumbing needs to be pulled and lines capped; 2) grant appeal for Item 7 (requiring Landlord 101 class) if owner continues to have the same tenancy and occupancy and 3) grant an extension for a follow-up reinspection appointment after June 7, 2017; Now, Therefore, Be It
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
