Modifying Residential Permit Parking Area 16 for the Cleveland Bicycle Project.

WHEREAS, Public Works has done an additional parking study involving the community and is now moving forward with the Cleveland Bicycle Project; and
WHEREAS, parking on the west side of Cleveland Avenue must be removed in order to install bicycle lanes and Residential Permit Parking Area 16 needs to be further modified to mitigate area parking as a result; and
WHEREAS, Resolution 86-1124 established “No Parking 8 am to 8 pm, Monday through Friday, Except by Permit” on the west side of Cleveland Avenue from Dayton Avenue to Selby Avenue and Resolution 87-1264 established “One Hour Parking, Except by Permit” on the west side of Cleveland Avenue from Marshall Avenue south to the alley; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that street regulation on both sides of Dayton from Cleveland to alley 100’ west of Cleveland be changed to “1 Hour Parking 8am to 8 pm, Monday through Friday, Except by Permit” to maintain short term parking where it will be displaced on Cleveland; and be it further
RESOLVED, that 2062 Marshall and 163-197 Cleveland in Area 16 become eligible to obtain up 2 vehicle and 2 visitor Area 17 permits per household, and be it further
RESOLVED, that these parking regulations shall be coordinated with project completion and in effect and enforced 30 days after City Council approval or as soon as signs are erected, weather permitting.
