Administrative Ordinance establishing a Qualifications and Examining Committee for the position of Fire Chief pursuant to the provisions of Section 9.01(a) of the Administrative Code and Section 12.12.1 of the Saint Paul City Charter.
Body
WHEREAS, Section 12.12.1 of the Saint Paul City Charter provides that upon receipt of a notice of vacancy for the position of Fire Chief, and after establishing minimum qualifications, the City Council shall establish and appoint a qualifications and examining committee for such vacant position; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor has given written notice of a vacancy in the position of Fire Chief to the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has established minimum qualifications for the position of Fire Chief; now, therefore
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN:
Pursuant to the provisions of Section 12.12.1 of the Saint Paul City Charter, the City Council hereby establishes the Fire Chief Qualifications and Examining Committee.
That the people appointed to serve on the Fire Chief Qualifications and Examining Committee are listed in the attachment to this Ordinance.
That the Office of Human Resources shall provide staff to support the Fire Chief Qualifications and Examining Committee throughout all aspects of its work process.
This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force thirty (30) days following its passage, approval and publication.
