Amending the financing and spending plans in the Fire Department in the amount of $11,000 for a contribution received from the BNSF Railway Foundation to purchase firefighter training props and storage equipment.
Body
WHEREAS, the BNSF Railway Foundation has awarded a contribution of $11,000 to the Fire Department to purchase firefighter training props and storage equipment, and
WHEREAS, the public purpose of this contribution to provide training props for firefighters and give the Fire Department a place to store them, and
WHEREAS, the financing and spending plans have not been established for the contribution received, and
WHEREAS, the Mayor pursuant Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriations funds of $11,000 in excess of those estimated in the 2016 budget, and
WHEREAS, the Mayor recommends the addition as specified in the attachment "BNSF Contribution" be made to the 2016 budget:

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the that Saint Paul City Council, on behalf of the residents of Saint Paul, accept this contribution of $11,000 from the BNSF Railway Foundation, extend their sincere appreciation to this organization, and approve the changes to the 2016 budget.
