Approving the preliminary and final plat for Saint Paul College, and rescinding RES PH 18-294.

Body
WHEREAS, St. Paul Community College, in File No. 18-072-460, has submitted on June 12, 2018 for City Council approval the attached preliminary and final plat for subdivision of property, area bounded by John Ireland Blvd., Marshall, I94, and north south line approx. 270 ft. west of vacated Farrington St., Combined Plat for Saint Paul College to create 2 RM2 residential parcels; and

WHEREAS, RES PH 18-294 was adopted by the City Council on October 3, 2018; and

WHEREAS, an error was made by City Staff in properly noticing the public hearing for RES PH 18-294; and

WHEREAS, a new public hearing notice has now been sent for File No. 18-072-460; and

WHEREAS, the appropriate City departments have reviewed the plat and found, subject to the recommended conditions, that it meets the requirements of Chapter 69 of the Zoning Code; and

WHEREAS, notice of a public hearing before the City Council was duly published in the official newspaper of the City and notices were mailed to each owner of affected property including all property situated within 350 feet of the subject property; and

WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing on the proposed plat on November 7, 2018, where all interested parties were given the opportunity to be heard, and the Council considered all the facts and recommendations concerning the plat;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that RES PH 18-294 is hereby rescinded.

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council accepts and approves the attached preliminary and final plat for Saint Paul College, area bounded by John Ireland Blvd., Marshall, I94, and north south line approx. 270 ft. west of vacated Farrington St., subject to the following conditions:

1. The applicant shall file a copy of the Council Resolution approving the Final Plat with the Ramsey County Recorder’s Office.
