Purpose of Appeal:
STAIRWELLS-MSFC 1030.2 - Relocate the corridor security gates to eliminate areas without required exiting.
School staffs are fully communicated of Corridor Gates Must Be Fully Opened during school hours. Signage was posted next to gates to remind staffs to keep gates opened during school hours. School principal and office manager were given keys to lock gates in Fully Opened position during school hours to ensure egresses are free of obstruction during occupied hours. We need these gates for property protection during after hours.

WHEREAS, in the matter of the Appeal of Augustine Mai to a Correction Notice-Reinspection Complaint at 1330 BLAIR AVENUE, the Legislative Hearing Officer has reviewed the appeal and considered the testimony of City staff and the appellant; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that the City Council deny the appeal on the security gate and grant to April 10, 2019 for compliance with the Orders; Now, Therefore, Be It
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council hereby accepts and adopts the Legislative Hearing Officer's recommendation in this matter.
