Title
Appeal of John Bailey to a Fire Inspection Correction Notice at 1725 HAGUE AVENUE.
Date/Time of 1st LH: May 22, 2018 at 1:30
Purpose of Appeal: We received Corrective Notice to install sheetrock on the ceiling in the basement of our condo building. Based on the inspector's advice that the repair would be an easy 1-2 day job, we did not initially appeal. We've since discovered that the corrective action is very complicated and expensive. One contractor that came out to look at it, characterized it as a "nightmare project" and three other companies have declined to bid on it after seeing photos. We are seeking an exemption from this corrective notice.
Date of Order(s) Under Appeal: March 14, 2018 & April 16, 2018
Inspector/Key Staff: Mike Cassidy
Legislative Hearing Staff Comments: Appeal accepted past deadline because reinspection date is in June. Please review owner-provided photos in appeal and determine if they characterize the inspector's concerns. If not, we'll need photos. Please also comment on sprinkler installation above heating unit per STAMP and if that's related to order.
