Amending the financing and spending plans in the Fire Department in the amount of $8,500 for a payment received for selling a trailer that was no longer needed for department use.
Body
WHEREAS, the Fire Department sold a trailer that was no longer needed for department use for $8,500; and
WHEREAS, the trailer was sold through the Public Surplus website to an individual who is not an employee of the City or an elected official of the City; and
WHEREAS, the Fire Department would like to use the $8,500 to purchase equipment that will support the services provided; and
WHEREAS, the financing and spending plans have not been established for the payment received; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor pursuant to Section 10.7.1 of the Charter of the City of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation funds of $8,500 in excess of those estimated in the 2026 budget; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor recommends the addition as specified in the attachment "Fire Department $8,500 Payment" be made in the 2026 budget; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, the Saint Paul City Council accepts the contribution of $8,500 and approves the changes to the 2026 budget.
