Amending the financing and spending plans in the Fire Department in the amount of $6,233 for the 2010 Assistance to Firefighter Grant.
Body
WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Fire Department received a grant of $533,250.00 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency's Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program to purchase forcible entry tools and equipment, radio equipment, and provide hi-rise firefighting training, forcible entry training, live fire attack training, and incident command training, and
WHEREAS, the federal portion of the grant is $426,600.00 and the City of Saint Paul is required by federal law to pay a 20% matching fund contribution of $106,650.00, and
WHEREAS, the original budget was approved on Council Resolution RES PH 11-957, and
WHEREAS, there is a remaining balance of $6,233.00 to spent on this grant, and
WHEREAS, the Mayor, pursuant to Section 10.07.1 of the Charter of the city of Saint Paul, does certify that there are available for appropriation funds of $6,233.00 in excess of those estimated in the 2013 budget; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor recommends that the following addition be made to the 2013 budget:

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that a financing and spending plan will be established for this grant and the City Council approves the changes to the 2013 budget.
