Third Making finding on the appealed substantial abatement ordered for 595 PARK STREET in Council File RLH RR 21-27

WHEREAS, the City Council adopted RLH RR 21-27 on September 15, 2022 which granted 180 days to repair the structure, correct all of the deficiencies listed in the Order to Abate Nuisance Building and the Code Compliance Report at 595 Park Street; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer reviewed this case on March 14, 2023, March 28, 2023 and April 11, 2023 to determine if the owner and/or responsible party abated the nuisance conditions and found these conditions were not abated; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer reviewed has reviewed updated schedule submitted by appellant and found it acceptable and recommends that the City Council continue the $10,000 performance deposit and grant an additional 90 days, to July 26, 2023, for the rehabilitation; and
WHEREAS, the Legislative Hearing Officer recommends that a Legislative Hearing be conducted July 25, 2023 to determine whether the nuisance condition has been abated, providing a report to the City Council July 26, 2023 on this matter; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council stays on its finding pending recommendation of the legislative hearing officer.
