Title
Appeal of James F. Cannon, Jr. to a Re-Inspection Fire Certificate of Occupancy With Deficiencies at 752 CARROLL AVENUE.
Date/Time of 1st LH: Tuesday, September 25, 2018, 1:30 p.m.
Purpose of Appeal: A year ago, I was given a deficiency list for my property located at 752 Carroll Ave. for the basement of my home. At that time I made what I thought were the necessary changes because I did not hear back from the Fire Inspector until a couple of months ago. This time I was told I needed to fix several additional things and was told the delay was because the original fire inspector who created the deficiencies list had left for another job. When I purchased the home, work had been done on the basement and from my understanding permits had never been pulled. I've tried several contractors but until now I have not been able to find one I can trust to complete the work. I am asking that I be given more time now that I have a good contractor I trust to do the work. As a first time homeowner with no experience I had several contractors take money and not perform the work. I am committed to make the necessary changes, but I need more time.
